More than 20 years after its creation, the Tjibaou Cultural Center is renovating the Grande Case du Sud.
For the first time, all communities in the country are invited to participate in this symbolic and sacred project. The objective: to open the door of the great Kanak hut to all the ethnic groups of New Caledonia. Founding a common space where everyone can find their place and be proud of their identity. All together, finally, “raise your head”: Maxha, in the Fwâi language of Hienghène.
