After freeing a young girl from her unjust imprisonment in Jerusalem, Phryne Fisher begins to unravel a mystery concerning priceless emeralds, ancient curses and the truth behind the suspicious disappearance of Shirin's forgotten tribe.  A great adventure film like "Indiana Jones...", full of charm, fantasy and romance led by the sparkling detective Phryne perfectly embodied by Essie Davis.

 

Tony Tilse

Tony Tilse is a veteran Australian television director. He won the Australian Directors Guild Award for best direction of a TV drama series (periodical) and TV mini-series for Underbelly in 2008. He also directed for TV The Postcard Bandit (2003), and Murder in the Outback (2007) and docu-drama Scorched (2008); as well as several episodes of TV series like Farscape (1999-2002), Lockie Leonard (2007), Serangoon Road (2013), Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (2012-2015), Wolf Creek (2016), Grisse (2018). Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears is his first feature.
