San Francisco based crypto trader Brendan Brandon loses everything when his investments collapse but an opportunity presents itself when his missing uncle gifts him the family’s macadamia nut farm in the small Australian town of Cobweb. Faced with a unexpected legal caveat and some evil New Zealander gas frackers, Brendan soon realises that a quick sale of the old farm might not be as easy as he’d hoped.
Scott Corfield
He graduated from Queensland University of Technology film school in 1999 and has since then worked in the film and entertainment production industry as both producer and director. Scott studied at The Actor’s Workshop and The Lee Strasberg Theatre institute in New York before starting his own advertising production company in 2004. Scott produced and directed the comedy special The Cadets in America in 2005 and in 2006 produced and directed the short film Luke’s Story. Scott produced his first independent feature in 2008 Crooked Business. His second feature film Don’t Tell, starring Jack Thompson, Aden Young and Rachel Griffiths was released in Australian cinemas in 2017 and was nominated for a Screen Producers Association award and 4 AACTA awards. Don’t Tell won the Feature Film Audience Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival in 2017.
