Concerned about his young daughter's future, filmmaker Damon Gameau travels the world in search of new approaches and solutions to climate change. He meets with innovators and changemakers in many fields to draw on their expertise. Gameau challenges us to improve the planet over the next 20 years, leaving no room for world-weary cynicism, however, he shows that we already have the technology and skills to do it. Damon Gameau
The Australian actor and director has starred in numerous feature films including The Tracker, Dancing Queens, Save Your Legs!, Charlie’s Country and was nominated for an AFI Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Balibo. He also played in various TV series including Going Home, Love My Way, Underbelly, Secrets & Lies, The Kettering Incident. His short film Animal Beatbox won the Tropfest short film festival worldwide. That Sugar Film, his debut feature film as a director, screened in Culinary Cinema at the 2015 Berlinale, won an AACTA Award for Best Feature Length Documentary and was a hit in Australian cinemas. In 2019, his second documentary 2040 was again a hit.
